Subject: BGInfo has suddenly stopped working after updates

I am about to deploy a 50-workstation environment using two Win 2012 Server AD servers and 50 Win7 workstations. I had everything working, but over the weekend, when my Win7 machines downloaded and automatically installed Windows updates, BGInfo on all 50 has stopped working. BGInfo is automatically loaded when a user logs in using a GPO that uses the Computer Configuration | Administrative Templates | System/Logon setting "Run these programs at user logon." This has been working for weeks w/o any issues, but now that I am literally one week away from deployment, BGInfo fails to automatically run.

BGInfo does work; from a workstation using a user account I can browse to the program's location and its .bgi file using Windows Explorer (both BGInfo.exe and the .bgi file are in a DFS share) and from there drop the .bgi file onto BGInfo.exe, and by clicking 'Apply' the wallpaper is set.
Rebooting the Win7 machine returns me back to the problem. BGInfo seems to be the only problem.
I will have to start looking through the updates to see if I can find one that might have broken this. This has been working for two months now, and now waits until the last moment to fail! ![Angry Angry]()
