Subject: Procmon crash after running for a few hours
Posted: 02 August 2013 at 10:02am
Hello,
We have an issue that happens "every few days" and as such I would like to have Process Monitor running for this time. I've created very strict filters that only let a few thousand events pass in the timespan of hours, set the backing file to a local file (which is only a few mb big), and yet Process Monitor crashes with an error:
"Out of memory: Unable to allocate a memory block of size 8388608".
Windows task manager says it only uses ~55mb.
Is this a (known?) bug in procmon? If so, how can I work around it?
The server is a Windows 2003 R2 Terminal Server, by the way.
I've uploaded a screenshot: uploads/47291/procmon_screen.rar (Image upload only allows 10kb... Hehe).
Thanks for any help.
Regards,
Jelmer
