Thank you for the excellent reference. It's well worth reading.
I think FileASSASSIN is mainly intended to deal with malware in situations where you've already tried safe mode and are willing to risk the consequences. (Yes, I know there are better ways...)
It does give the option to use the Pending Operations list, but to my disappointment, that's not chosen by default. The default action is Unlock Handles-Unload Modules-Terminate Processes. The only warning given is be careful about deleting locked system files.
I think Malwarebytes should clarify that the "ASSASSIN" mode of this tool is intended for desperate situations, not everyday use.

It might be helpful to get more detail about what you are trying to accomplish - there may be a better way. Could you kill the process owning the file, delete it, and restart the process? What is your end objective?
