The sync program is run from the command prompt. From the Start Menu, open the Accessories folder, right click 'Command Prompt' and click 'Run as Administrator'.

If the Sync program is not in a folder listed in the PATH environment variable, replace sync with the full path. For example, C:\Users\Bert\Sysinternals\sync.exe .
Use -r or -e but not both. -r specifies flush removable drives. -e specifies eject removable drives.
