I have a new Asus Zenbook that came with Win8; which I upgraded to 8.1. It is configured with a partitioned SSD that I'm not crazy about because I have to keep moving my date files over to the D: partition.
I was told that I could use Junction to save files to the D: drive; seamlessly, so I installed it. But where did it install to?
I'm guessing that it's a "command line" utility, because it doesn't appear when I search "Junction".
I'm assuming I will need to go to the command line; but because I'm new to win8 I'm not sure how to get there, and enter the commands I've seen listed in a couple of places.
My problem is that I can't find a clear explanation for how to write the command lines. For example, how to I write a line that will put files I save to C:/.../My Documents to D:/.../My Documents?
\
I also wonder about sub-folders. Will I need to create a line for every single folder or will sub-folders fall into place; on the "root", i.e. My Documents, or My Pictures, etc.
Where can I learn the details for writing command lines that create a seamless transfer of files from the Windows default folders on C: to designated folders on D:?
