◦Exact windows version of the local machine,
i.e. the machine where you typed the PSTools command.

Windows 8 (Version 6.2)

◦Exact Windows version of the target machine,
i.e. the machine where the PStools command is supposed to do something.

Windows 7

◦The exact version of the PSTools command you use.

2.44

◦The exact command line as you typed it.
(You may of course disguise real names and passwords. No need to reveal confidential information.)

PsExec.exe \\<machine name> -u <username> -p <password> cmd

◦The exact error message which you received on the local machine.

Couldn't access <machine name>:
The network path was not found.

Make sure that the default admin$ share is enabled on <machine name>.

More details

a. Both machines are on different domain and have different windows version
b. If machines are connected to the same network .. Psexec command works fine and we are able to access the target machine command line
c. If we connect machines on different network then the error mentioned above comes up ..
d. http://forum.sysinternals.com/please-read-before-posting_topic15919.html - We followed this and did all that was mentioned in section 2.(admins$ share is enabled on both the machines as expected)

Question - ◦Make sure that the user who will execute the command on the target machine has got admin privileges. -- How do we do this on two machines that are on different domains.

Also note that even after enabling admin$ on the target machine, we are not able to access the target machine from local using \\<machine name>

Please suggest on how we can resolve this issue ..
