procexp64.exe is using between 10 and 20+% of cpu on my HP G71 laptop running Win 7. procexp.exe is using less than 1% of cpu on my desktop running XP.
Recently PE on the laptop was using 80 to 90% of the cpu. I deleted the registry key for PE
(HKEY_Current_User, Software, Sysintnerals, PE) and reinsalled. This seems to have solved the problem of PE locking up my computer.
I have searched several forums for PE cpu usage, but have found little help.
I have checked the event viewer log for systems, but did not find any issues before or after I deleted the regkey.
My Question: Is 10 to 20% PE usage on the HP Laptop excessive? If so, where should I look to find the problem?
