Hi,
I have been searching for this for a while and there are example of connection string and how to set it up but I can't seem to get it to work. I am writing this post as a last resort for help. The documentation in bginfo said it support MySQL + ODBC and I just need to specify MySQL ODBC driver to connect. I have tried different versions of ODBC driver but they don't work at all.
Does bginfo support MySQL ODBC connection at all? I can't seem to find anything that suggest this for the new version. The posts about ODBC support were a couple of years back as far as I know.
I would really like to set bginfo up with MySQL database if possible.
The steps I have done are these:
1. Downloaded and installed MySQL ODBC 3.51 driver and MySQL ODBC 5.3 driver
2. Specify connection string in Database menu in bginfo as such:
Driver={MySQL ODBC 5.3 UNICODE Driver};Server=localhost;Database=myDataBase; User=myUsername;Password=myPassword;Option=3;
It doesn't seem to work at all. It only throw SQL Server error that says server not found.
Please enlighten me.
