I constantly get this error when trying to run Disk2vhd.
It seems to happen randomly at no specific point during the process. I'm running Windows XP Home SP3. Saving the vhd onto an external USB drive.
I have tried a few of the possible solutions that I found from searching the internet. One was about re-registering dll's, another was about checking the registry. Neither resulted in a solution. I have also tried a 'clean boot', disabling all non-Microsoft services and startup programs but still got the same error.
Is there somewhere I can look that will give me a more descriptive error message to go on? There don't seem to be any errors in the Windows Event Viewer and I don't know where else to look.
Any help is much appreciated.
