Same here with Process Explorer 16.02 on Windows 7 SP1.
As a workaround I kill Process Explorer on the remote machine using PsKill before running other commands (e.g. PsExec) that create and delete services on the remote machine:
C:\>pskill \\pc-23 procexp.exe
PsKill v1.15 - Terminates processes on local or remote systems

Process procexp.exe killed on pc-23.
C:\>pskill \\pc-23 procexp64.exe
PsKill v1.15 - Terminates processes on local or remote systems

Process procexp64.exe killed on pc-23.
