Subject: Automating Control Panel tasks (Mail repair)
Posted: 06 August 2014 at 9:27pm
Hi,
I've been given the task of figuring out a way to automate a task from the mail control panel, specifically the "Repair" option:

I've captured the processes that are started with the repair, but I have some confusion as to where to find exactly what is going on:

When viewing the properties for each of these items, they all display the same command line. When this command is run, it simply opens the Mail control panel. Makes sense as it's just calling the MLCFG32.CPL (mail) control panel applet.

My question is, what exactly is the "Load Image" operation, and how does it relate to the specific DLL's that it is calling? How would I automate this process at log-in so the user does not have to manually run a mail repair?
Thank you in advance!
