Subject: how to uninstall drivers

Hi, newbie to autoruns...
scan indicates some old drivers call sys files that can't be found - i would like to uninstall them but i can't find them - unofficial guideline says drivers should be removed with device manager but these drivers do not sit in device manager- a little concerned about disabling with autoruns - is there any other way to locate drivers? if not, should i go ahead and disable with autoruns?
