what I did was run disk2vhd and got my working c and the 2 partitions of data. I created a VM with that vhd. Once the VM was up I shut it down, added a new virtual disk and started the vm. Once it was up I moved all the data from the other partitons to the new drive, deleted those partitions and expanded C
