Hello all,
Subject: procdump -e switch
Posted: 27 September 2014 at 10:52am
Hello all,
I am just wondering if someone can guide me here, basically I would like to collect a dump for the process that crashes intermittently once or twice in a week & want to find out what is causing the crashes.
So I used the following switch and left the command line window running.
procdump.exe -ma -e 8204 where 8204 was the PID of the process
> The problem I am facing here , the CLI continues to run
> But when the process crashes , it never creates a dump file.
> I also tried to use the -t switch , but I think this switch only works when someone legitimately kills the process from the task manager , or shutdown the service from service manager only then -t switch will work.
> Now I downloaded the latest version of procdump probably last month (I don't know the exact version here)
Please guide me if I am using the wrong switch or if there is something else I am not doing it correct.
Many thanks
