Hi, I am going to transfer my Windows XP from physical machine to virtual one using disk2vhd.
A short look into disk2vhd description found on its web side showed this should
be one of its regular applications. Is it not?
No yet any experience with migrate a Windows XP installation from physical to virtual.
Anyhow long time in the past there was a need to do the migration from one physical
to other one. That time one experience was made which can be of interest now.
If the HCI on source and destination machines are different and the Windows installation
does not have driver for that one on destination machine it won't boot on destination machine.
How well does disk2vhd manage this problem?
