Subject: Multiple `File not found'

I have an eight-year old secondary PC with 3.2 GHz Intel 4 processor, 3GB RAM and o/s Windows Professional SP1; Windows Update is up-to-date. The startup is very extended and I have pruned the system to remove unwanted programmes and reduce automatic startups to a minimum. The computer is not usuable for as long as ten minutes after startup and thereafter behaves in an acceptable manner although applications can be slow starting.
To assist in finding the cause of the delay I am attempting to understand using Autoruns. However I have an initial question to which I need advice.
Under the tab `Everything' the output from running Autoruns shows many instances (approximately 240) of File not found and most, but not all, are ticked. Searching this forum so far hasn't revealed anything to me as to whether I should take any specific action as to these entries. My assumption is that they maybe left-overs in the Registry from programmes that have been removed. Incidentally, I have only removed programmes through Control Panel | Programs and Features and very often using the free version of the Revo Uninstaller.
Advice will be appreciated.
