Since I cannot register there, I am going to ask it here
Taking into account this beautiful tutorial
my question is:
- Let's suppose I have an infected PC
- Let's suppose I have a USB pendrive with something like Hiren's Boot or some other BootCD installed on it (e.g. Kaspersky rescue)
What is the possibility that if I insert the USB into the PC when it is switched off and that I turn it on and, in BIOS, I make it boot via the USB.... what is the probability that this USB gets infected?
In a few words, can malware propagate from the PC to the "booting USB" in some moment during the OSLoader phase?
In the case I am talking about, is the OSLoader phase "ruled" by the "clean USB" or in some starting moments by the" infected PC"?
I sincerely hope my question is clear enough
