Subject: Using with VMs - Newbie

I hope someone can help me!
I know newbies can be a drag, so I'll try not to be.
I am using bginfo for the purpose of easy identification of which VM the users is using. I know this seems silly, but I have developers that have to bounce from machine to machine in order to build test and evaluate their work. i thought it would help to use bginfo as a quick-glance identifier.
PROBLEM
How can I use it to show the info when a developer logs on?
I don't want them to have to go the boot process each time the log into the VM.
Can someone help me with the config file?
Where it goes? i don't know where to put it so it rewrites when the user logs onto the VM
I'd like for the config GUI to not be visible to any of the users.
Thanks In advance!!
