Subject: RamMap Priority Summary for SQL Server
Posted: 05 April 2013 at 4:29am

I have just got the organisation I work for to replace there old Database Server (was a Windows 2003 32bit server with 4Gigs of Ram) with a new Server (Windows 2008 with 34Gigs of Ram).

Upgrading the server has speed things up but I still think the new server should have more Ram but I am not sure how to test or provide evidence for why I think they should upgrade the RAM again in the new server.

They are running 120Gigs of data in about 20 different databases and have several thousand users.

Is there any blogs or posts that shows what the RamMap Priorty Summary should look like for an SQL server that is running with enough RamMap so I can compare what priority levels are being repurposed on my server.
